Transport
It is a 7 minute drive between the church and the village hall.
We would recommend that you car share and drive between the locations (it is too far to walk). There is plenty of car parking space to leave your car at the village hall and collect the next day.
As it is a rural area, we would advise booking a taxi well in advance from the hall to your accommodation for the end of the night.
If you have any issues with transport please let us know and we can help.

The Bear Wareham - £££ Hotel in Wareham.

FAQs
- What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
It starts at 2pm so make sure you have enough time to park and find somewhere to sit! There is parking opposite the church outside the farm or on the roadside.
- What is the address for the Church/Hall?
Church - St Laurence, Affpuddle, DT2 7HH
Hall - Moreton Village Hall, Moreton, DT2 8RE
- Are children invited?
Yes. There isn't going to be child specific menu or activities but there is a big field in front of the venue were they can play. Equally if you don't want to bring your children and want to have a child free night then that is fine!
- Are dogs invited?
Probably best if you do not bring your dogs they are not allowed inside the hall.
- What is the dress code?
Summer smart clothes. E.g. suits and/or chinos and dresses. Hopefully the weather will be good, we want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible so if it is a hot summers day please do not feel obliged to wear overly formal clothes but equally if you want to wear something fancy go for it. Wear whatever you want we don't mind!
- Should I bring a gift?
No. We are greatful that you are making the effort to come to our wedding and spend the day with us, this is enough expense!
- Can I get an uber?
No! It is very rural and there is also really poor phone signal across Dorset so we would strongly advise pre- booking a taxi to pick you up at the end of the night.
Some local taxis:
Bob's Cars - 01305 269 500
Garrison Cars - 01929 463 395
Damo's Taxis - 01305 250 222

Things to do nearby
Pub: The Martyrs Inn
If you want a quick drink/ something to eat prior to the ceremony, it is a local pub owned by Tolpuddle residents.
Beaches: Ringstead Bay
Ringstead is a favourite locals beach good for swimming, it is £6 to park.
Sandy beaches further afield around Studland are beautiful and Weymouth more touristy but good for children to swim safely.
Walk: Ringstead bay (National trust car park)
There is a beautiful circular walk at the top of Ringstead with views across the sea. Follow signs towards the beach but then go straight ahead rather than right down to the sea.
